The Leadership Cup

Join us for our spring luncheon including the final round of our very first Leadership Cup, where students put their business skills to the ultimate test. And best of all, you play a major role in the action as investors and judges. Students will compete throughout the school year for their place as finalists. In this highly interactive competition, finalists will showcase their abilities in five categories: Introductions (including a proper professional handshake), Conversation, Newscast, Sales pitch, and Instructional presentation. Trust us, this event will be like nothing you’ve seen before. You don’t want to miss it!

The Gardere Community Christian School is a non-selective school serving 98% low-income/poverty and minority students from the economically challenged Gardere area. Results speak for themselves: In 2025, GCCS students scored 33% higher than the state average in Math and more than double the state average in ELA—outperforming the nearest public school threefold. We achieve this through small class sizes (average 13), highly trained teachers, individualized instruction, family counseling, after-school and summer programs, and a strong emphasis on character and spiritual growth. As you will see at The Leadership Cup event, you can't judge these students by where they began in life. These are Baton Rouge's future leaders!
